CAF Cup: FC MK of DR Congo Qualifies for Second Round
FC MK of the Democratic Republic of Congo has booked its place in the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup. The Kinshasa-based club secured qualification on Friday despite a 1-1 draw at home against Étoile du Congo of Brazzaville.
Having won the first leg 2-1 in Brazzaville, FC MK progressed with a 3-2 aggregate victory. Coach Bruno Bla and his team showed discipline to manage the result on home soil and seal the qualification.
In the next round, FC MK will face Al Ahly Shendi of Sudan, who were exempt from the preliminary round. The tie promises to be a new test for the Congolese side as they aim for a deeper run in the competition.
