The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has officially referred Pyramids FC player Mohamed El Sheebi to the disciplinary committee for alleged violations of FIFA regulations.
This move comes in response to his involvement in the legal proceedings related to Hussein El-Shahat, a breach of regulations that prohibit resorting to civil courts.
In an official statement, the EFA emphasized the decision to transfer El Sheebi to the disciplinary committee was based on both the Egyptian Football Association’s statutes and FIFA regulations, explicitly forbidding recourse to civil courts.
The decision reflects the EFA’s commitment to upholding the integrity of the sport, ensuring that disputes are resolved within the established footballing framework.
The incident arose from El-Shahat’s situation, prompting Pyramids FC and Mohamed El Sheebi to seek legal action outside the football regulatory bodies.
In response, Al Ahly Club lodged a memorandum with the Egyptian Football Association, urging swift clarification on the circumstances surrounding the legal recourse taken by El Shahat and El Sheebi.
The EFA, in its statement, confirmed the reception of Al Ahly’s memorandum and promptly forwarded it to the legal affairs department for thorough examination.
The department is expected to compile a comprehensive report offering legal insights and recommendations.
