Jonathan Tah is settling in fast at Bayern Munich, showing calm and control at the heart of their defense.

After joining the German champions just weeks before the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, the 29-year-old has already featured in three matches, helping Bayern secure a spot in the round of 16.

The former Bayer Leverkusen captain seems unfazed by the big stage, blending in well with Thomas Tuchel’s system and earning praise from fans and teammates alike. Speaking to the club’s official website, Tah shared how the close-knit nature of the tournament has helped him adapt quickly.

“This makes it extremely easier for me to arrive. I am new and have to find myself in – it’s worth it for me to be worth it for me that I can spend so much time with the boys and the team all around and get to know everyone better.

“It simply helps me to have a simpler start to the new season. I really wanted to play the tournament and now I want to win the tournament,” he said. “Until the game now against Benfica, my conclusion will be good in this tournament so far.”
