Official: Abdoulay Diaby Extends Lille Contract Until 2019!

Abdoulay Diaby Returns to Lille and Signs Contract Extension Until 2019

It’s now official: Abdoulay Diaby is back at Lille – and staying longer than expected. The French club has confirmed not only the return of the Malian international striker from his loan spell, but also the extension of his contract until 2019.

The 23-year-old forward, who has earned four caps for Mali, spent the past season and a half gaining valuable experience on loan at Belgian top-flight side Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz. His performances in Belgium impressed LOSC’s management, who have decided to reintegrate him into the senior squad and secure his services for the long term.

“After a great experience at RMP, I am returning to LOSC today with a lot of determination and the desire to reach a new level,” Diaby said upon his return. He will wear the number 21 shirt for the Dogues.

The move represents a fresh opportunity for Diaby to establish himself in Ligue 1 and contribute to Lille’s attacking options. Known for his pace and technical ability, he will now look to make his mark in the French top flight after honing his skills in Belgium.

The press unveiling is expected in the coming days as LOSC prepares for the second half of the season with renewed ambition — and with Diaby as part of their plans.
