Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi delivered a standout performance to help Paris Saint-Germain book their place in the next round of the FIFA Club World Cup.
PSG took the lead in the 35th minute when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia redirected a misfired shot from Vitinha into the net.
Hakimi then doubled the advantage, sealing a 2-0 victory over American side Seattle Sounders on Monday at Lumen Field.
The win saw PSG finish as runners-up in Group B, tied on points with Brazilian club Botafogo but edged out on goal difference.
Hakimi’s goal marked his 10th of the season across all competitions. The Moroccan international continues to prove himself as one of Europe’s most attacking defenders, having also registered 12 assists this campaign.
Paris Saint-Germain will now face MLS outfit Inter Miami in the Round of 16.
