France international of Cameroonian is facing an uncertain future at French Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice.
The 28-year-old joined Nice as a free agent following the termination of his contract with Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur last summer.
Ndombele made an impressive start to life at Nice, but his progress stalled as a result of pubalgia issue. His last appearance in Ligue 1 dates back to the end of February, whilst the problem has severely limited his game time. He has not even been included in a matchday squad since February.
According to reports, the midfielder’s future is still up in the air, with his current contract set to expire in summer 2026.
However, Ndombele will have convince Nice’s hierarchy to retain his place in the squad. As he continue to struggle with similar issues, he is not expected to be operational come the start of the season, which for Nice starts early, as they contest the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.
The 28-year-old midfielder made just 18 appearances in the Ligue 1, scoring one goal and providing two assists across the period.
