Bafétimbi Gomis isn’t the happiest player at Swansea. Signed this summer from Lyon, the Franco-Senegalese striker hasn’t yet established himself with the British club. Blocked by an excellent Wilfried Bony, Gomis has made only 12 appearances and scored one goal in the Premier League this season. This has piqued the interest of certain English clubs, who are eyeing him up and promising more playing time if he agrees to join them.
But Swansea manager Garry Monk will also have to be reckoned with, as he has no intention of parting ways with him.
“I’ve heard the rumors about Bafé, but I want him to stay here. He’s good, he trains well, he does his job well and making him leave is not in my plans,” the English coach assured in comments reported by Sky Sports .
