The players of USM Alger had a challenging flight experience, finally landing in Douala where they are set to face Cameroon’s Panthère du Ndé in the Confederation Cup round of 16 second leg. The team arrived late at Douala international airport due to problems in Yaoundé, where they were unable to land initially because of poor weather conditions. After two unsuccessful landing attempts, the pilot redirected the flight to Douala. Morad Belouchrani acknowledged the challenges and expressed relief that, thanks to Allah, there was more fear than harm. French coach Roland Courbis did not accompany the team on the trip. The players now need to focus on the upcoming match despite the challenging conditions, including the intense heat.
