As FC Sochaux fights to avoid relegation to Ligue 2, the upcoming 31st day of Ligue 1 presents a crucial clash for the club against Ajaccio. Sochaux, currently in 17th place, will face Ajaccio, ranked 14th. Ryad Boudebouz, a midfielder for Sochaux, expressed his desire to replicate the team’s recent success against Lyon (2-1) on the last matchday.
Boudebouz, who is Algerian, shared his thoughts on the club’s situation with France Football. He highlighted the frustration of the season, citing missed opportunities to secure a higher position in the league despite notable performances against top teams like Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille.
“We have a great team that is perhaps not in its place at the moment. We missed a lot of opportunities to take cover in this championship, and it’s even more frustrating when we see what we can do at home against Paris or Marseille,” said Boudebouz.
Reflecting on the victory against Lyon, he noted that the team needs to be more relaxed and avoid fear in big matches. The upcoming fixture against Ajaccio is crucial for Sochaux’s bid to secure their place in Ligue 1 and avoid relegation.
