Raja Casablanca’s journey in the Arab Football Champions League (UAFA) came to an end as they were eliminated in the semi-finals. In the last leg of the semi-finals, Raja Casablanca faced Al Arabi, resulting in a 2-2 draw. The first leg had ended in a 1-1 draw. The return match was played in El Jadida due to security concerns related to the visit of French President François Hollande.
Despite Raja Casablanca taking the lead twice with goals from Mohsine Metouli in the 67th and 73rd minutes, the match took a turn for the worse in the last moments. They conceded two goals in the 89th and 90+2nd minutes from Mohamed Seid and Abdelkader Fall, leading to Al Arabi’s victory.
These away goals secured a victory for the Kuwaiti club, and they will advance to the final of the UAFA Champions League. The final will feature Al Arabi against USM Alger, who secured their place by overcoming the Egyptians of Al-Ismaily on penalties (4-3) in the semi-finals
