AS Vita Club Arrive in Algeria for Champions League Final Second Leg
The AS Vita Club delegation has officially landed in Algeria ahead of the second leg of the CAF Champions League final against ES Sétif, scheduled for this Saturday at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida.
A total of 41 members, including 20 players, make up the Congolese delegation. The group is led by the vice president of the Congolese Football Federation, highlighting the importance of this high-stakes encounter.
Upon arrival in Blida, the squad conducted their first training session at the Beni Messous facility on Thursday. Coach Florent Ibenge and his players are also scheduled to inspect the match venue during a final training session at 7:00 p.m. local time.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, CAF President Issa Hayatou will be present, accompanied by other CAF officials and the Champions League trophy, in anticipation of crowning the new champions.
The final promises to be an intense encounter, especially after the 2–2 draw in the first leg held in Kinshasa. The stage is now set for a thrilling conclusion to Africa’s most prestigious club competition.
