FC Nantes Winger Georges-Kévin Nkoudou Sidelined with Adductor Injury
Bad news has struck FC Nantes ahead of their Ligue 1 clash against Evian TG on Matchday 11. Promising winger Georges-Kévin Nkoudou, who has been in fine form recently, will miss the trip due to a 5 mm adductor lesion, as confirmed by the player on his Twitter account.
Nkoudou has been pivotal for the Canaries in recent weeks—scoring against Guingamp and playing a key role in goals against Lyon and Reims. His absence is a significant blow for Michel Der Zakarian’s side.
In addition to Nkoudou, Alejandro Bedoya and Johan Audel are also unavailable due to thigh issues, further limiting Der Zakarian’s options in attack. There is some positive news, however, with Vincent Bessat expected to return after missing action since the match against Montpellier.
Nkoudou, who recently netted for the France U20 side in a win over the Czech Republic, is also likely to miss the Coupe de la Ligue clash against Laval on October 28. The winger is targeting a return for the home match against Rennes on November 2.
