Raja Casablanca has officially lodged complaints with FIFA and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation over the participation of Hussein Rahimi in the Club World Cup held in the United States with Al Ain.
The Moroccan club claims that Rahimi’s transfer to Al Ain was unauthorised, insisting the top scorer of the Moroccan league last season is still contractually bound to Raja until the end of June.
Raja highlighted that Rahimi is currently listed on their squad roster for the ongoing Excellence Cup in Morocco, where the team recently reached the semi-finals.
The club demands a thorough investigation into how Rahimi’s international transfer certificate was issued to Al Ain, enabling the Emirati side to include him in their Club World Cup squad.
Raja Casablanca is calling for Rahimi’s immediate return, while Al Ain is reportedly in talks to officially acquire the remaining term of his contract.
The Moroccan club firmly opposes Rahimi’s involvement in the tournament.
