During the match between Olympique de Marseille (OM) and Nice on Sunday, reports suggest that OM’s attacking midfielder André Ayew was subjected to racist insults by Nice supporters at the Ray stadium. The incident occurred during OM’s 1-0 victory.
Additionally, photographers positioned behind the goal of Nice’s goalkeeper, David Ospina, were also reported to have been insulted and spat upon during the second half of the match.
Representatives of the league reportedly sent a report to the Disciplinary Commission. If the report is considered, Nice may face sanctions for the inappropriate behavior of their supporters during the game.
