José Mourinho Defends Loïc Rémy After Failed Liverpool Move
Loïc Rémy’s anticipated transfer to Liverpool fell through after he reportedly failed his medical, but the French international quickly found a new home at Chelsea during the final hours of the summer transfer window.
Chelsea manager José Mourinho has since moved to clear the air over Rémy’s fitness. Speaking to the Daily Express, Mourinho dismissed concerns about the striker’s health, stating:
“We don’t have the Liverpool report. Dr. Biosca did his job, supported by opinions from top specialists across various fields, and the conclusion aligns with the French Football Federation’s medical department before the World Cup: the player has no problem.”
Mourinho expressed confidence that Rémy will enjoy a successful career at Stamford Bridge, but added that the striker still needs to prove himself on the pitch.
