Evian-Thonon Defender Aldo Angoula Out for Five Weeks with Thigh Injury
Evian-Thonon’s central defender Aldo Angoula will be sidelined for at least five weeks due to a thigh injury, the French Ligue 1 club has confirmed on its official website.
The 33-year-old Angoula, who has been an important figure in Evian’s defence, sustained the injury recently and will now undergo a period of rest and rehabilitation. His absence comes at a difficult time for the club, which currently sits at the bottom of the Ligue 1 table.
Angoula was suspended for Sunday’s home fixture against Marseille at Annecy, following a red card received during their 1-0 defeat at Toulouse ten days earlier. The defender’s injury adds to Evian-Thonon’s defensive challenges as they look to improve their fortunes in the league.
