Franco-Congolese Jean-Phillippe Mateta may end up signing for Marseille after being offered to the French Ligue 1 giants.
Marseille now has the opportunity to snap up the enterprising attacker, who excelled for Crystal Palace in the recently concluded campaign.
The French outfit are seeking to add depth to their frontline ahead of their return to the Champions League next season.
Mateta featured in 37 Premier League matches, scoring 14 goals this season and lifted the FA Cup with the South London side in May.
The forward joined the Eagles in 2022 from Bundesliga side Mainz, and has since scored 36 goals in 116 appearances for the Premier League side.
The former Le Havre loanee featured for Thierry Henry’s France Olympic side at Paris 2024 last summer, scoring seven goals in eight appearances on the way to a silver medal.
His current contract with crystal Palace is expected to elapse in the summer of 2026.
