PAUL BIYA: THE HOST OF CAMEROONIAN PLAYERS IN TÜRKIYE!

During his visit to Turkey, Cameroonian Head of State Paul Biya, along with his Turkish counterpart Abdoulah Gül, received Cameroonian players based in Turkey. The diaspora players included Achille Webo, Hervé Tum, and Rigobert Song. The team manager of the Indomitable Lions, the Cameroonian national football team, joined the group after Cameroon’s victory against Togo (2-1) in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

Paul Biya’s visit to Turkey was at the invitation of President Abdoulah Gül, aiming to strengthen cooperation and friendship between the two nations. President Gül expressed his hopes for the visit to be a decisive step in reinforcing and institutionalizing cooperation in various areas, emphasizing the commitment to advancing bilateral relations. The meeting with Cameroonian football players in Turkey added a sports dimension to the diplomatic ties between the two countries.
