Jean de Dieu Moukangni has emerged as the new leader of Gabonese football, securing victory in the Fegafoot (Gabonese Football Federation) elections. Moukangni successfully outpaced his opponent, Pierre Alain Mouguengui, by securing 28 votes to Mouguengui’s 22.
Moukangni’s election victory can be attributed to his comprehensive program, which resonated with the delegates. His proposed initiatives include a strong emphasis on training, targeting young players, coaches, and staff to adhere to new management standards. Additionally, he envisions the establishment of 4th and 5th divisions within the football structure.
As part of his ambitious plans, Moukangni aims to position Gabon as a host for significant football events, such as organizing the CAN U17 in 2015, the CAN U20 in 2017, and the CAN in 2017, all under the framework of the Global Football Concept.
Having previously served as the vice-president of the outgoing office, Jean de Dieu Moukangni brings a wealth of experience within the Gabonese football administration to his new role.
