Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik Linked With Palermo Move Amid Rennes Uncertainty
Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik looks set to leave Ligue 1 as the Franco-Cameroonian defender is reportedly heading to Serie A. According to football.fr, Palermo are interested in signing the 25-year-old from Stade Rennais.
Kana-Biyik has struggled for game time this season, having not been selected for Rennes’ opening two Ligue 1 fixtures. The defender, who featured in 21 league matches last term, appears to be out of coach Philippe Montanier’s plans for the current campaign.
His time at Rennes has also been marked by tensions with some supporters, further clouding his future at the club. A move to Palermo could offer Kana-Biyik a fresh start in Italy’s top flight.
