CAF has announced the lifting of the ban on Libya hosting international matches on its soil. Following a satisfactory security assessment during a five-day inspection visit led by Almamy Kabele Camara, CAF concluded that the conditions were met for Libya to host competitions. The ban had been in place since 2010, and now Libya can once again organize international matches on its territory. The decision opens the door for Libya to host competitions and potentially bid for the organization of CAN 2017.
