Pyramids FC to pocket $4 million after lifting maiden CAF Champions League title
Egyptian club, Pyramids FC will earn a whopping $4 million in prize money after winning their first CAF Champions League title.
The club clinched the 2024/25 CAF Champions League on Sunday, June 1, after beating South African side Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in the second leg of the final to secure a 3-2 aggregate win.
For the team’s success, Pyramids FC have secured $4 million. The club will also have the opportunity to double their financial gains by securing a place in this year’s Intercontinental Cup.
In addition to the cash rewards, Pyramids also secured a place in the 2029 Club FIFA World Cup alongside Paris Saint-Germain and Al-Ahly Jeddah of Saudi Arabia.
Following the historic CAF Champions League triumph, Pyramids FC have become one of the four clubs from Egypt to have won the trophy.
They will face Morocco’s Renaissance Berkane, who are the Champions of the CAF Confederation Cup in the CAF Super Cup.
The Egyptian club will be eager to win the Super Cup for the first time as well.
