Moroccan national team stars on the radar of Saudi Pro League clubs

Ziyech Amrabet

Players from the Moroccan national football team find themselves among the sought-after names by clubs in the Saudi Pro League, as part of Saudi Arabia’s strategy to attract stars from top European leagues in line with its Vision 2030 for local league development.

Reliable sources indicate that several Moroccan national team players have attracted the interest of Saudi Arabian clubs, aiming to secure their services during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The financial offers being considered are lucrative for both the players and their respective clubs, opening the door for a potential move to the increasingly competitive Saudi Pro League.

Among the notable players under the radar of Saudi clubs are Sufian Amrabat, the midfielder from Manchester United, and Aziz Bouhaddouz and Amin Harit, both from Olympique de Marseille in France.

Additionally, Hakim Ziyech, the star from Galatasaray in Turkey, is also a subject of interest for Saudi clubs looking to strengthen their squads in the next season.

Insiders also reveal that Tariq Tissoudali, the returning striker for the Atlas Lions, has entered the sphere of interest for one of the clubs in the Qatar Stars League, indicating a potential increase in the number of Moroccan national team players in Gulf league competitions starting from the next season.

The Saudi Pro League has already witnessed the success of recruiting Yassine Bounou from Sevilla in Spain last summer.

Furthermore, Romain Saiss made a move to the Qatari league before joining Al Shabab in Saudi Arabia, while Abdelhamid Sabiri now represents Al-Fayha FC.

Jad El Yamik, another Moroccan talent, joined Al-Wahda in Saudi Arabia, adding to the growing presence of Moroccan players in Gulf clubs.
