Taye Taiwo, who had a challenging season with AC Milan in Italy, has found a new opportunity in Ukraine. He has been loaned to Dynamo Kyiv for one season with an option to buy.
Dynamo Kyiv officially announced the signing of the left-back from AC Milan, confirming a move that had been in the works since the previous day when Taiwo arrived in the Ukrainian capital for his medical examination. The loan deal involves a payment of 500,000 euros and includes a purchase option set at 2 million euros.
Taye Taiwo had fallen out of favor at AC Milan, where he had arrived the previous summer after leaving Olympique de Marseille at the end of his contract. The Nigerian left-back initially signed a three-year contract with the Lombard club but only made eight appearances in the Rossonero jersey. Due to his lack of playing time, he was loaned to Queens Park Rangers during the winter transfer window. In London, Taiwo experienced a resurgence, featuring in 15 matches and scoring one goal.
At the age of 27, Taye Taiwo, who began his professional career with Lobi Stars in 2003, is set to embark on a new chapter in his football journey as he joins Dynamo Kyiv, marking the fifth club in his career.
