DR Congo international Fiston Mayele has emerged as the frontrunner to annex the CAF Champions League goal king this season.
Mayele, who plies his trade for Egyptian outfit Pyramids FC is leading the pack ahead of the Champions League final return clash.
The 29-year-old forward is close to snatching the top scorer prize after racking up 8 goals in 12 appearances in the competitions this season, showcasing his ruthless form in front of goal.
However, Mayele is locked in a fierce battle with his teammate Ibrahim Adel for the Golden Boot. The Egyptian rising star, has 6 goals in just 6 match underlining his efficiency and explosive impact.
