Joshua Guilavogui definitely seems to be attracting serious interest from Wolfsburg, especially with Luiz Gustavo possibly leaving. At just 23, and having played some games in both La Liga and Ligue 1 recently, he fits the profile of a promising midfielder who could step up.
With a contract at Atlético Madrid until 2018, a €12 million bid would be a solid offer for a player currently on loan at Saint-Étienne, where he’s trying to get more regular minutes. Since he’s a former Saint-Étienne player, returning to Ligue 1 temporarily could help him maintain form and visibility.
If Wolfsburg pushes hard, this transfer could happen soon, especially if they want to secure a good replacement before Gustavo’s departure.
