Michael Dogbè Dodzi, the former Togolese international and ex-Saint-Étienne player, remains passionate about football and his country despite not having played for the Togo national team since 2006. The 37-year-old striker, who scored on his debut against Uganda during the Africa Cup of Nations, now has clear ambitions beyond his playing days.
Currently pursuing his UEFA coaching diplomas, Dogbè shared with Africa Top Sports that he aims to give back by coaching young talents from Togo. “I would like to coach young hopefuls from Togo, to help them progress and give them opportunities; that’s my plan after football,” he explained.
After a varied career spanning France, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt, Dogbè is now back in France and intends to finish his playing career in England. “My agent is looking for a player in England. I wanted to play there before finishing my career,” he revealed.
Michael Dogbè’s dedication to both football and nurturing future Togolese players highlights his ongoing commitment to the sport and his roots, even as he plans his transition into coaching.
