The Algerian derby on Friday, where USM Alger faced MC Alger, the latter club, affectionately known as Le Doyen, orchestrated a vibrant tribute to the esteemed Moussa Coulibaly. The former Malian international, who graced MC Alger’s ranks from 2005 to 2009, received an overwhelming ovation from an enthusiastic audience at the Stade du 5 Juillet.
Moussa Coulibaly, fondly remembered as the “Executioner of the USMA” due to his formidable long-range strikes, took a ceremonial lap of honor two hours before the kickoff.
The stadium, brimming with supporters eager for the derby, erupted in applause as the Malian football icon proudly displayed the club’s scarf.
