Kylian Mbappé has been named Real Madrid’s Player of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign, capping off a remarkable debut year at the club.
The 26-year-old forward, who has Cameroonian and Algerian roots, received the accolade during a ceremony at the club’s training ground on Thursday.
Since his high-profile move from Paris Saint-Germain in June 2024, Mbappé has made an immediate impact at the Santiago Bernabéu.
He has netted 41 goals across all competitions, including 29 in La Liga, making him the league’s top scorer and a strong contender for the European Golden Shoe.
In addition to his domestic success, Mbappé has contributed significantly in European competitions, scoring seven goals in 14 UEFA Champions League matches.
His performances have been instrumental in Real Madrid’s campaigns both at home and abroad.
Mbappé’s achievements this season have not only solidified his status as one of the world’s premier footballers but have also endeared him to the Real Madrid faithful, who have embraced him as a new talisman for the club.
With the Club World Cup still on the horizon, Mbappé has the opportunity to add to his impressive goal tally and further cement his legacy in his inaugural season with Los Blancos.
