Simba SC captain Che Malone Fondoh is upbeat ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup final against RS Berkane.
The centre-back and his Tanzanian side are playing in the finals of the CAF inter-club competition for the first time in the club’s history.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, Che Malone Fondoh said the club is happy to be in the final but want work hard to get a win to finish what they started at the beginning of the season.
“It’s history created, so we are very, very happy. At least we have written a history in Simba. So we wish to play and win the finals because the job doesn’t end here. It ends after the final,” the Simba SC captain said.
He added, “No matter who comes, we have to keep the same energy to make sure we win the finals.”
The first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final between RS Berkane and Simba SC will be played on Saturday, May 17.
The two teams are poised to fight for the ultimate prize at the end of the two legs.
