Cameroon’s national football team coach, Jean Paul Akono, along with captain Samuel Eto’o, addressed the media in a pre-match press conference at the CAF Center of Excellence in Mbankomo. Coach Akono emphasized the team’s determination to secure a victory in the upcoming match:
“We are fully prepared for tomorrow’s game. We have all the necessary elements in place to win. Our focus is solely on football, and we’ve assembled the assets required for success. Our goal is to outscore the Togolese team. The lineup will be revealed tomorrow at 11 a.m.”
Captain Samuel Eto’o highlighted his commitment to the national team, emphasizing unity among players:
“I live, eat, sleep, and wash alongside my teammates. Strong players, even when not on the field together, harmonize during the game. Tomorrow, my main focus is not personal goals but leading the team to victory. I don’t want to step onto the field with the sole obsession of scoring.”
The match is scheduled for Saturday, March 23, at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium, kicking off at 2:30 p.m. Universal Time.
