Morocco international Brahim Diaz has suffered an injury setback at Real Madrid, adding to the club’s injury crisis this campaign.
Diaz, who sustained an injury to the long adductor muscle in his left thigh becomes the 12th Real Madrid player to be sidelined.
He joins backup goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, Camavinga, Ferland Mendy, Rudiger and other on the injury list, deepening the club’s crisis this season.
The 25-year-old will not be available on Wednesday night when Real Madrid takes on Real Madrid in the Spanish La Liga clash.
Diaz has contributed 6 goals in the La Liga this season, scoring four and assisting two goals 30 appearances.
In all competitions, the enterprising attacker has racked up 50 appearances, scoring 6 goals and providing 7 assists.
With just three rounds remaining in La Liga, Real Madrid’s title hopes have all but vanished, as they now trail Barcelona by seven points.
