Sébastien Desabre Tipped to Take Over as Al Ahly Head Coach

French coach Sébastien Desabre is reportedly on the verge of being appointed as the new manager of Egyptian giants Al Ahly, according to Tunisian daily Al Chourouk. The official announcement is expected to be made in June.

Desabre, who currently serves as the technical director at Espérance Sportive de Tunis, is believed to have been selected from a pool of nearly fifty candidates considered for the high-profile position. Sources indicate that his contract with the Cairo club could see him earning around $30,000 per month.

Well known across African football circles, Desabre has built a reputation for his tactical acumen and leadership. His coaching résumé includes a successful spell at Cameroonian club Coton Sport of Garoua, where he helped develop several emerging talents and gained continental experience.

If confirmed, his move to Al Ahly would mark a significant step in his career. The club, one of the most successful in Africa, continues to pursue domestic and continental dominance and sees Desabre as a figure capable of leading them into a new era.

With the expected announcement just weeks away, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely as Al Ahly prepares to usher in a new chapter under the guidance of the experienced Frenchman.
