Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus linked with potential summer move to Arsenal

Mohammed Kudus is reportedly open to a summer switch to Arsenal, with the North London club said to be preparing a substantial offer for the Ghanaian forward currently playing for West Ham United.

The 24-year-old attacker has remained on the radar of top Premier League clubs despite a somewhat underwhelming campaign with the Hammers.

Following a promising debut season in English football, Kudus has struggled to replicate that impact in his second term, registering only four goals and two assists in the Premier League this season.

Nevertheless, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is understood to be an admirer of Kudus’ dynamic playing style, particularly his versatility across the front line.

The former Ajax star has demonstrated the ability to operate both as a winger and a central attacker, attributes that could prove invaluable to the Gunners as they look to reinforce their squad ahead of another title challenge next season.

West Ham signed Kudus last summer for a reported fee of £38 million, but speculation has emerged suggesting the club could be willing to sanction his departure for around £60 million.

That valuation has not deterred Arsenal, who, according to reports from Spanish outlet Fichajes, are seriously considering investing in the Ghanaian as part of their summer transfer strategy.

The Gunners are keen to bolster their attacking depth after falling short once again in the Premier League title race. Arteta is expected to reshape key areas of his squad, and Kudus’ ability to slot into multiple attacking roles aligns well with the manager’s tactical demands.

His combination of pace, technical ability, and direct style of play could provide an added dimension to Arsenal’s attacking options.

Although Kudus’ output this season has not matched expectations, his underlying qualities continue to draw attention.

His strong dribbling, intelligent positioning, and tenacity have made him a difficult player to ignore.

With Arsenal set to compete in multiple competitions next season including the UEFA Champions League, squad depth and flexibility will be essential.

These factors increase Kudus’ appeal to the North London club.

West Ham, meanwhile, face a potential overhaul of their own following a mixed campaign, and letting go of Kudus could free up funds to pursue other targets.

However, any final decision will likely depend on formal negotiations and whether Arsenal are prepared to meet the reported £60 million price tag.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Kudus’ future remains one of the stories to watch, particularly if Arsenal choose to act on their long-standing interest.

For now, both clubs remain tight-lipped, but indications suggest that discussions could accelerate once the season concludes.

Should the move materialise, it would mark a significant development in Kudus’ career trajectory, offering him a fresh opportunity to re-establish his form at a club pushing for domestic and European honours.
