Tunisia’s U20 national team came from behind on Sunday afternoon to beat Kenya’s U20 team 3-1 in their second Group B clash in the 2025 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
On the matchday, Kenya landed the first blow when Lawrence Ouma scored to give the side the lead in the 38th minute.
The Kenyan’s appeared to be heading into the break with the advantage until the final minutes when Tunisia equalised through Fares Bousnina to force the first half to end in a 1-1 stalemate.
After the break, Tunisia took control of the match and scored twice to bag the maximum points.
First, Omar Ben Ali scored in the 70th minute to give the side the lead for the first time in the match.
Five minutes to end the game, Alaedine Derbali also found the back of the net to make it 3-1 for Tunisia, earning a much-needed victory for the side.
The win puts Tunisia in contention for qualification to the knockout stage of the U20 AFCON, while Kenya looks set to crash out at the end of the group stage.
