The Algerian Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohamed Tahmi, has indicated that Algeria is considering the possibility of submitting its candidacy to host the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). While he did not confirm or deny the information, the minister stated that the application file to host the tournament would be carefully studied and submitted at the appropriate time. Kenya and the Democratic Republic of the Congo are already declared candidates for the organization of CAN 2019.
