Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly have successfully secured the acquisition of Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Al Ahly, who recently bowed out of the CAF Champions League semifinals are strengthening their squad for the upcoming Club World Cup to be staged in the United States of America in June.
In an attempt to make impact, the Egyptian giants have captured the services the Tunisian midfielder from Hungarian giants Ferencváros.
Ali Ben Romdhane becomes the fourth signing of the Egyptian giants as the team gear up for the Club World Cup. He joins Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” from Al Rayyan (five-year contract), Ahmed Sayed “Zizo” on a free transfer from Zamalek and Hamdi Fathi on loan from Al Wakrah as the club latest signings.
Despite being under contract until June 2026, Ben Romdhane has reportedly agreed to join “the club of the century” in the upcoming summer window.
Al Ahly had previously targeted the former Espérance de Tunis star during the last transfer window but failed to close the deal at that time.
The Egyptian side are paired in Group A of the Club World against Inter Miami (USA), Palmeiras (Brazil) and FC Porto (Portugal).
