‘They celebrate like we won’t win again’ – Tchouameni hits back at Barcelona after Copa del Rey final loss

Aurelien Tchouameni Real Madrid

Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni has expressed his frustration with Barcelona’s jubilant celebrations following their 3-2 win over his side in the Copa del Rey final.

The match, which took place in Seville on Saturday night, saw Barca secure an extra-time victory, with Jules Kounde’s decisive goal sealing the triumph.

Tchouaméni, who hails from a Cameroonian background, made his feelings clear on social media, criticizing Barcelona’s behavior after the final whistle.

“They celebrate our defeats as if we were never going to win again. We’ll be back,” he posted, clearly displeased with how his side’s loss was treated.

The final was marred by controversy, with Real Madrid finishing the match with three players sent off. Toni Rudiger, Lucas Vazquez, and Jude Bellingham were all dismissed for protesting decisions made by the match officials after Kounde’s goal. The chaotic end to the match raised tensions, with Real Madrid’s players venting their frustrations at both the referees and the situation as a whole.

Barcelona’s celebrations following the win highlighted the significance of their victory, as it puts them on course to achieve the remarkable feat of winning the Quadruple this season. In addition to securing the Copa del Rey, Barcelona are leaders of La Liga and Champions League semi-finalists, while they also won the Supercopa de España earlier this year.

Tchouaméni’s comments reflect Real Madrid’s disappointment and the fierce rivalry between the two Spanish giants. Despite the setback, the midfielder remains confident in his team’s ability to bounce back, emphasizing that they will be ready for future challenges.
