Saudi Arabia powerhouse Al-Ittihad are set to offer France international of Algerian descent Karim Benzema two-year contract extension.

The 37-year-old joined the Saudi giants in July 2023 after ending his spell with Spanish powerhouse, Real Madrid. Since joining the club, the experienced forward has established himself as a key member of the team, delivering high level performance for the team.

Al-Ittihad are highly impressed with Benzema’s output and are set to tie him down beyond 2026 at the club.

With his current deal expiring in summer 2026, the club intends to offer Benzema a new contract until the summer of 2027.

The former Real Madrid star is expected to accept the offer and retire in 2027 at Al-Ittihad.

This season, Benzema has scored 20 goals and provided 9 assists in 29 matches across all competitions.

Benzema has made 97 appearances for the France national team, scoring 37 goals across the period.
