Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has disclosed that Ghana international Thomas Partey did not feature in the game against Ipswich Town over the weekend because he was not feeling well.
According to him, he could afford to leave the midfielder on the bench as an unused substitute because there are other options to choose from in his squad.
“Yeah, well, the reason for it was because Thomas wasn’t available to start the game. At the end, we decided not even to play him because he wasn’t feeling particularly well. So we have some options. We have the opportunity to experiment, but we have all this as well,” Mikel Arteta shared on Tuesday.
The Arsenal manager was speaking at a press conference ahead of the team’s English Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.
That encounter will be staged at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, April 23. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7pm.
