In a press conference, Waleed Al-Rakraki, the coach of the Moroccan national team, has shed light on the reasons behind his decision to summon players from the Olympic team to participate in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
Al-Rakraki stated, “Some players have been with us before in the World Cup, such as Abdel-Samad Zlazoli and Bilal Al-Khanous.
Later, Shadi Riyadh and Ismail Al-Sebari joined the camp for the friendly match against Brazil.”
He continued, “I always think about the future because this team will continue after me, and I need to prepare for upcoming competitions.
Without discussing the competition, these young players deserve it. They won the Africa Cup of Nations for under 23, playing as starters with their clubs.
We can say that we have a balance between the present and the future, and they can develop alongside the group in the Africa Cup of Nations.”
