The management of Egyptian club Al Ahly, under the leadership of Captain Mahmoud El Khatib, has outlined its conditions for approving the sale of Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng during the upcoming winter transfer window in January.
Dieng, a key player in the team’s midfield, is on the verge of departing Al Ahly in January, following multiple offers from European and Arab leagues in recent times.
The Al Ahly administration is now aware of the Swiss coach Marcel Koller’s desire not to continue with Aliou Dieng in the upcoming period, especially after his absence from the starting lineup in recent matches.
During the FIFA Club World Cup held in Saudi Arabia, Koller did not rely on Dieng and instead favored the midfield duo of Marwan Attia and Ahmed Nabil Koka.
There is a growing inclination within Al Ahly to secure $5 million for the sale of Dieng in January, especially given the Qatari and Saudi offers on the table, as reported by the journalist Islam Sadek on the program “Al Primo” on the channel “Ten.”
