RB Leipzig sign Dutch-Congolese midfielder Ezechiel Banzuzi

German side, RB Leipzig have announced the signing of Dutch midfielder of Congolese descent, Ezechiel Banzuzi.

The German Bundesliga outfit unveiled the new signing for the 2025/26 football season in an official statement on Tuesday, April 8.

“RB Leipzig has confirmed its first new signing for the 2025/26 season. Ezechiel Banzuzi (20) is joining the Red Bulls from Belgian Jupiler Pro League club OH Leuven. The central midfielder completed his medical in Leipzig on Monday and subsequently signed a contract until June 30, 2030.

“Banzuzi has been playing in the Belgian top flight since the summer of 2023, where he has contributed to ten goals (4 goals, 6 assists) in 66 competitive matches. The 20-year-old has also been progressing through the Dutch national team’s youth ranks since the end of 2021 – he is currently a fixture in the U21 squad. We look forward to seeing you, Ezechiel,” RB Leipzig announced.
