Swiss coach Marcel Koller, the head coach of Al Ahly, has finalized the lineup for the match against Modern Future in the NBE Super Cup, set to take place this Thursday evening.
The match is scheduled at the Mohamed bin Zayed Stadium, the home ground of Al Jazeera, in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi, kicking off at 7 PM Cairo time – 9 PM UAE time.
This edition witnesses the participation of four teams for the first time: Al Ahly, Pyramids, Modern Future, and Ceramica Cleopatra.
Al Ahly began its journey in the tournament with a victory over Ceramica Cleopatra with a score of 1-0.
In contrast, Modern Future secured its place by defeating Pyramids in a penalty shootout (14-13) after the match ended in a goalless draw in regular time.
The expected lineup for Al Ahly in the match against Modern Future might see four changes from the previous game.
Mustafa Schubert could replace Mohamed El Shenawy in goal.
In the defensive line, Rami Rabia is expected to start instead of Yasser Ibrahim, who is absent due to injury.
In the attacking lineup, Hussein El Shahat might replace Karim Fouad, while Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba” is expected to return in place of Taher Mohamed Taher.
