Match Highlights: Liberia 2-1 Sao Tome and Principe – 2026 World Cup qualifiers

Nelson Laomi starred with two assists for Liberia on Monday evening, leading his country to a 2-1 win against Sao Tome and Principe in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The national teams of the two countries locked horns today in Monrovia to battle for three points in their Round 6 clash in Group H.

Liberia scored very early in the match after Nelson Laomi set up Nicholas Andrews for the opening goal.

Nelson Laomi later assisted Bryant Farkarlun in the 32nd minute to double the lead for Liberia.

Although Sao Tome and Principe would pull one back through Luis Do Sacramento, it could not inspire a comeback as Liberia held on throughout the second half to earn all three points.
