The Guinean government, represented by its Minister of State for the Economy and Finance, Kerfala Yansané, has finally agreed to sign the 28-month contract of the national coach of Guinea, the Frenchman Michel Dussuyer. Dussuyer had gone unpaid for ten months, but now, with the contract signed, he is expected to receive the overdue payments. The signing of the contract was awaited after the then Minister of Sports, Aboubacar Titi Camara, and the president of the Guinean Football Federation, Salifou Camara, had already endorsed it. This development comes as a relief for Michel Dussuyer, who had been absent from the country since an international friendly match against Senegal on February 5, 2023. The signed contract guarantees Dussuyer’s future as the national coach, addressing concerns about the potential termination of his contract by the new Minister of Sports, Sanoussy Bantama Sow.
