Premier League club Arsenal are preparing to open talks with Bukayo Saka over a new contract as he enters the final two years of his current deal.

According to the BBC, the Gunners are keen to secure the English international of Nigerian descent’s long-term future and prevent any speculation about his next move.

Despite being sidelined since December with a hamstring injury, the 23-year-old remains a key figure in Arsenal’s plans.

Saka’s existing contract, signed in 2022, earns him around £10 million per year, approximately £200,000 per week, and runs until 2027.

However, if his deal is allowed to run down, major clubs like Real Madrid could step in with offers. Arsenal are determined to avoid that scenario and are prioritizing an extension.

Meanwhile, Saka is focused on regaining full fitness after undergoing surgery. Manager Mikel Arteta recently hinted that the winger could return soon after the international break, where England will face Albania and Latvia in the World Cup qualifiers.

His comeback could be a major boost for Arsenal as they push for silverware this season.

Arsenal are also planning contract talks with defender William Saliba, whose deal is set to expire in two years. With both players attracting interest from top European clubs, securing their futures remains a crucial task for the club’s management.
