Al Ahly SC has sent a fresh request to FIFA, urging the governing body to disclose the prize money for the upcoming Club World Cup in the United States, set to take place from June 15 to July 13.
In its third official communication on the matter, the Egyptian giants have asked for clarity on the financial rewards and the timeline for distributing payments to participating clubs.
A source told Kooora, that Al Ahly is still waiting for FIFA’s response, noting that the previous reply stated all tournament details would be announced in March.
The club is set to send a sizable delegation, led by Sporting Director Mohamed Ramadan, to a workshop in Miami from March 17 to 19.
Al Ahly has been drawn into Group A alongside MLS side Inter Miami, Portuguese powerhouse FC Porto, and Brazilian club Palmeiras, setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown in the prestigious tournament.
Al Ahly will play Inter Miami on 15th of June, Palmeiras on the 19th of June, and Porto on June 24th.
