The Sudan national team has commenced preparations for the next two games in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In the March international break, the head coach of Sudan, James Kwesi Appiah and his team will play two difficult games against Senegal and South Sudan.
On Wednesday, March 5, 13 of the players invited by coach Appiah started preparations for the upcoming games.
The players who have assembled at the Taif camp engaged in some gym workouts to build on their stamina and fitness.
The players in camp include Amer Abdullah, Younis Gamal, Gamal Mohamed, Monjed El-Nil, Leader Ramadan Ajab, Amir Kamal, Wagdy Awad, Ahmed Abdel Moneim Tabanja, El-Samani El-Sawy, Mustafa Nagi, Ahmed Peter, Moussa Kante, and Youssef Ali.
The matches against Senegal and South Sudan will be played on March 18 and March 24, respectively.
Sudan currently sits top in Group B with 10 points and will be hoping for positive results in the two games to remain at the summit.
