Germany international of Ivory Coast descent Jonathan Tah would prefer a move to Barcelona over Bayern Munich ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old centre-back is expected to leave Bayer Leverkusen at the end of his contract in June 2025.
Tah, who is set to part ways with Leverkusen has emerged as a transfer target for several clubs due to his outstanding performance, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich being the main contenders for his signature.
According to reports in the German media, Tah is no longer interested in a move to Bayern following a breakdown in talks.
Both Tah and Bayern could not reach a consensus, leading to the termination of talks from both sides.
With a move to Bayern looking impossible, the enterprising is said to have chosen Barcelona and could join the club in the summer.
The 29-year-old Tah has been playing for Bayer since 2015. He is the captain of the team, for which he has played 36 matches this season and scored 2 goals.
Tah was instrumental when Bayer Leverkusen won double last season, winning both Bundesliga and Europa League.
